As we move ever so closer to the Christmas period, and the growth of online shopping continues to accelerate, it is important to protect yourself against scams. The following tips are good to remember before making an online purchase:

If it seems too good to be true – it probably is.
Online scammers tend to pick high demand items and then list them for a discounted price to lure shoppers in for a ‘good deal’. Always check the website URL for spelling errors and look for secure checkouts when completing a purchase.
2. Don’t reuse passwords

The Aegon New Generation With Profits cautious and growth funds which have served us so well are being closed by Aegon on 3rd October 2024.
Aegon will automatically close the funds and move it to the alternatives they offer– a Mixed life fund and 60/40 Cautious Managed Collection life fund. These funds will not have the smoothing mechanism that Aegon have been using so well on their with profits funds and will therefore be “wobbly” albeit with slightly different risk profile between the two.
