Technological Evolution
Humans tend to become quite nervous on the dawn of a new breakthrough technology. User Artficial Intelligence (AI) and Chat GPT are just two new innovations that have been developed, and are being used quite considerably.
Whilst many people may feel threatened by the AI starting to take over the world that we once knew, many forget that the IPhone was only created in 2007, but for most it is hard to imagine a world without it. Douglas Adams, the author of the ‘Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy’ puts it perfectly:
1. Anything that is in the world when you’re born is normal and ordinary and is just a natural part of the way the world works.
2. Anything that’s invented between when you’re fifteen and thirty–five is new and exciting and revolutionary and you can probably get a career in it.
3. Anything invented after you’re thirty–five is against the natural order of things.
History alone is evidence of evolution: In the early 20th Century, the basic mode of transport was a horse, and now, when we see them on the road, we can’t wait to get past them.
Don’t fear the technology in the future, embrace it!
