Mamba Mentality

 Mamba Mentality

Success is not gifted. It is earned.

It was as simple as that for one of the best NBA players of all time Kobe Bryant. Considered to be in the “Greatest Of All Time” debate, not so much for his talent, but his work ethic.

He summed up the difference he has with the average basketballer through a comparison of his daily schedule. By starting his day at 3am he was able to complete four training sessions in that day. Whereas his competitors were only doing half as much. To quote, “As the years go on, the separation you have between competitors and peers grows larger and larger.”

By applying an organised schedule that pushed his limits every day, it equipped him for the success that he had in his career. This mentality is not isolated. Successful businessmen such as Bob Iger (Disney CEO) and Tim Cook (Apple CEO) are known to be up in the early hours of the morning getting ready to tackle their day ahead.

Success is no flook. Those who are successful have put in years of hard–work, often done behind the scenes.
